| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses an experiment designed to rate alternative spike golf shoes for traction during golf swings, for traversing a dry slope of turf, for traversing a wet slope of turf, and for walking on pavement. The 8 mm metal spike received the highest ratings in all categories except in the flat concrete test, in which it received the lowest rating. "Overall, the alternative spikes performed satisfactorily." |
