Abstract/Contents: | Describes the potential for Poa supina to be used as a sports turf. Researchers are "impressed by its ability to withstand wear and recover from traffic injury...their tests have also shown that it's more shade tolerant than Kentucky bluegrass...and it may eventually prove to be the turfgrass that performs best in stadiums." Adds that "while its seed is pricey for most sports turf managers, it is often sold and used in a mixture." |
