| Abstract/Contents: | "Field inoculation studies were conducted during Spring 1997 (May-June) to determine the efficacy of five commercial and two experimental fungicides for control of Rhizoctonia solani blight and Sclerotinia homoeocarpa dollar spot on an 'SR1020' bentgrass green. A tank-mix of Terraguard 50WP^D]R (2.0 oz/1000ft²) and Daconil 2787^D]R (3.1 oz/1000ft²) provided the greatest protection from Rhizoctonia blight disease and Sclerotinia dollar spot. There was no advantage to applications of the experimental A815-50W as opposed to Terraguard50WP^D]R. Prostar plus^D]R (2.5 oz/1000ft²) provided greater disease protection from both turfgrass diseases than Prostar^D]R (3.0/1000ft²). Two experimental rates of Garlic Barrier Plus Vitamin C failed to provide adequate disease protection to the bentgrass green during this spring trial." |
