| Abstract/Contents: | "In the spring of 1994 a study was undertaken to evaluate the vegetative growth characteristics of several phenotypically superior creeping bentgrass clones. The phenotypic performance of 73 vegetative selections of creeping bentgrass was compared with five commercial cultivars under field conditions. A total of 38 separate evaluations on this trial were collected. Factors included disease, scalp damage, color, spread and turf quality. According to the accumulative TPI, the top performers, with a TPI of 37 out of a possible 38, were: TAES4045, 4068 and 4080. TAES 4085 had the lowest cumulative TPI score of 19." |
