Abstract/Contents:Profiles fungal endophytes and their positive and negative aspects of turfgrass inhabitance, stating that they "have little value under good growing conditions where harmful turfgrass insect populations are in check." Reports that "seed tests can indicate the presence of the endophyte within the seed, but they will not tell whether the endophyte is alive or dead. Suggests buying fresh seed "preferably within one year of harvest for the best success in using endophytic turfgrasses.
