Abstract/Contents:Profiles a study at the University of Massachusetts to create a degree day model to aid superintendents in annual bluegrass weevil control. "A degree day model is a technique that is based on the minimum and maximum daily temperatures, precipitation and evapo-transpiration throughout the growing season. These factors are then compared to the activity level of the particular insect, in this case, the annual bluegrass weevil." Includes a volunteer form for those superintendents who would like to participate in the project.
