Abstract/Contents: | Discusses odor modeling. "One way to determine how odors will travel off site and what and where their impacts will be is odor modeling." Discusses the practice in two case studies: yard trimmings composting and a biosolids composting facility. Reports that "considering the high costs of constructing odor control or altering a facility, or the difficulty of dealing with an irate public after a facility has had odor problems, modeling is a relatively inexpensive way to evaluate potential sites or facility design." |
