Abstract/Contents:Describes Canadian legislation concerning trees in which negligence, trespassing, and trees growing along boundary lines or public roads may cause problems. Concludes that "the standard of care is determined by what a prudent or reasonable person ought to have known or ought to have undertaken" and that "in the event that this duty of care is breached, there may be a case of negligence and ensuing liability for the resulting damage."
