Abstract/Contents:Summarizes an interview about pesticide registration (PR) notices between Pest Control, Bob Rosenberg, and Gene Harrington. Defines PR notices, and focuses on PR notice 96-7 dealing with "labeling soil-applied liquid termiticides." Also discusses a public health pest PR notice published in the March 29, 2000 Federal Register which "attempts to define a public health pest," and an indoor-use PR notice which attempts to "put language on the labels of both consumer and professional indoor-use products that reduces the risk associated with use." Mentions that the amount of time between public comment period and finalization of a PR notice varies, and advises pest management professionals (PMPs) on how to give input during the public comment period of PR notices.
