Abstract/Contents:Describes an experiment designed to "determine the extent of fertilizer N [nitrogen] leaching through bermudagrass systems growing in several soils typical of the Piedmont and Eastern North Carolina" and to "determine soil solution nitrate concentrations with depth and time under golf course conditions." States that the research "can give an acurate assessment of leaching potential...which can be useful when legislation is being considered" and that "the research should provide profiles of N use efficiency with different fertilization and management practices which can be integrated in management schemes to limit pollution and improve fertilization efficiency in general."
