Abstract/Contents:Discusses a method of applying pesticides "directly into the feeding zone of soil-inhabiting insects." The process is subsurface placement, which involves "injecting liquid insecticides under high pressure into the soil or depositing granules into punctrues or slits cut in the turf. Describes how the high-pressure liquid injector can be used to kill pests with jets of water or possible used for seeding. Lists available subsurface applicators.
