Abstract/Contents:Roadside turfgrass was treated with growth retardants and broadleaf herbicides alone and in combinations to evaluate chemical compatibility and growth control effectiveness. Evaluation was based on evidence of turf injury, vegetative and seedhead suppression of turfgrass and broadleaf weed control. All spray mixtures were compatible. Mixtures of mefluidide with 2,4-D, mecoprop, silvex or dicamba alone or in various herbicide combinations were satisfactory and judged to be equally effective.
