| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a study designed to determine if physiological factors are responsible for the difference in cold tolerance between Agrostis palustris and Poa annua. Also examines "other factors [that] may be involved in a plant's susceptibility to low temperature damage." Reports that plant hardening allows turfgrasses to withstand colder temperatures. States that "maintaining dormancy as long as possible is preferred while severe low temperatures are still a threat." |
