Abstract/Contents: | Compares six different treatments for a thin, yellow and weed infested lawn: control, fertilizer, fertilizer + herbicide, fertilizer + herbicide + "bucket method" overseeding, fertilizer + herbicide + aerating + overseeding, and fertilizer + herbicide + slit seeding. Results indicate that only the fertilizer treatment improved color. Also, "of the three plots that have been overseeded, the aerator + overseeding plot looks the most uniform. While the 'bucket method' may be good for small areas, it is not suitable for large areas." |
