| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study to determine "the influence of mowing height on wildflower sod production." Results include "mowing black-eyed susan plants had a signficant influence on plant growth. Plants that were not mowed had deeper roots as compared to plants that were mowed...Unmowed plants had higher root:shoot ratios at time of harvest than mowed plants" and "increasing the mowing height of black-eyed susan sod would produce more root laterals, creating a more dense sod." |
