Abstract/Contents:Compares five cultivars of tall fescue. Falcon, Houndog, Kentucky 31, Mustang, and Rebel were tested at 3 nitrogen levels and two cutting heights. The two-inch cut resulted in higher quality turf for all cultivars. Turf quality increased with each increment of nitrogen for all cultivars at both mowing heights. Mustang was the best cultivar under higher maintenance conditions in 1987. In general, each of the turf-type cultivars performed better than Kentucky 31.
