| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study "to assess the effects of two root zones at five moisture regimes on the agronomic characteristics of Kentucky bluegrass sod under athletic field conditions." Results indicate that "the five moisture regimes produced five different moisture percentages in each of the root zones based upon TDR measurements...there were no significant differences in the color/quality ratings between the moisture regimes in either root zone...sod strength...was not significantly different in any of the treatments", and "moisture content in the root zone did not effect the color or visual quaity of Kentucky bluegrass sod grown under athletic field conditions." |
