Abstract/Contents:Discusses findings which indicate that golf courses are providing a habitat for wading birds and that these birds may prefer golf course lakes to natural lakes, perhaps because of the variety of fruit and nuts as well as other foods and a decreased number of predators. Lists bird sightings at various courses. Also discusses the effects of these findings on regulators by providing "hard data to refute unsubstaniated claims, erroneous assumptions and misconceptions."
