Abstract/Contents:Discusses a meeting between the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Sciences, Department of Environmental Protection, five water management districts, the University of Florida and IFAS, to "develop Best Management Practices to protect our industry and make the public more aware of our professionalism and commitment to protecting the environment." Discusses the shift in water quality regulations from regulating to managing. Also discusses how the adoption of Best Management Practices will not lead to immunity from local regulations. Briefly outlines the process of creating Best Management Practices. Also describes the industry's excitement over developing Best Management Practices.
