| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a bentgrass management study, established in the fall of 1980, which included four cultivars of creeping bentgrass (Emerald, Penncross, Penneagle, Prominent, and Seaside) and Kingstown velvet bentgrass. Results show that Penncross ranked first in this study, but Penneagle followed close behind in yearly mean quality. States that the "quality of bentgrass increased with each increment of applied nitrogen...and...the best grass is found at higher fertility levels." |
