Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to determine sod reestablishment following a harvest. States that Glade, Parade, Ram I, Rugby, and Touchdown Kentucky bluegrass were used in the study. Results indicate that Parade and Ram I "were the slowest to recover in the two seasons following harvest" while Rugby was intermediate in the 1984 growing season but was equal to Parade and Ram I during the 1985 growing season. Results also indicate that Glade and Touchdown were the two cultivars that quickly recovered after harvest and "maintained their advantage through both 1984 and 1985." Details sod strength, plants/sample, dry weight plants, average tillers/plant, average rhizomes/plant, and weight rhizomes/sample for each cultivar.
