Abstract/Contents:"Three granular formulations of oxadiazon (Ronstar) and one rate each of isoxaben (Gallery) and oryzalin (Surflan) were applied to weed-infected and weed-free turf to measure pre-emergence weed control and turf tolerance. For crabgrass control, isoxaben maintained high levels of weed control into late June. Oryzalin maintained good to excellent control up until April. Higher rates of oxadiazon (4 lb ai/a) using the commercial grade (G) formulation tended to be better than other (G) grades. For pre-emergence prostrate spurge, isoxaben had good to excellent control, as well as oxadiazon at the 4 lb ai/a rate (commercial grade). Oryzalin provided excellent control up until late June. Oryzalin damaged perennial ryegrass at 31 DAT, evidenced by leaf tip whitening and long-term stunting."
