| Abstract/Contents: | "Three chemicals were applied to common bermuda turf to assess their potentials for plant growth regulator (PGR) activity. Imazaquin, cimectacarb (Omega) and a mixture of cimectacarb and primsulfuron (Beacon) were applied as single treatments on August 21, 1990. From single applications, neither imazaquin nor cimectarb and primsulfuron provided 14 days of suppressed growth with some discoloration. Repeat applications of imazaquin and cimectarb enhanced growth supression, with cimectacarb plots having a darker color than others. Application rates and sequential timing studies are needed to further investigate potential use of these chemicals in a successful PGR program for warm season desert turfs." |
