| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the need for golf course restoration or rehabilitation, which is "the result of several factors individually or in combination including inadequate design creativity, incorrect construction or incorrect turfgrass maintenance as well as excessive volumes of traffic." States that "the recommended procedure to follow when restoration or rehabilitation are to be considered is to initially have an experienced professional golf course architect review the existing conditions and discuss the alternatives with the committee or course owner." Also states that "to achieve the desired objectives, follow a comprehensive master remodeling plan, reconstruct to modern and first class standards and maintain the turfgrasses properly. A remodeling and renovation program can be successfully achieved." |
