Abstract/Contents:"The efficacy of eight bait products was evaluated for the control of adult TMC in a greenhouse study using a CRD with four replicates. The test was conducted in the five gallon buckets filled with 4 inches of moist sandy soil brought back from the Fox Squirrel Golf Course in Brunswick County, N.C. Mole crickets used in this test were collected by soapy water flush from golf course fairways and the crickets were maintained in laboratory for at least ten days before starting the test. Three adult TMC were introduced into each bucket which was regarded as a replicate. Insecticides were applied 24 h later on 24 Nov. Mortality was checked at 5 DAT by counting the number of dead/live mole crickets in each bucket. All data were transformed (arcsine) prior to ANOVA and Waller-Duncan K-ratio T-test. The L-0347 an L-0352 treatments did not cause any mole cricket mortality. L-0359 provided the highest mortality. Mortality between the L-0359, L-0349, or L-0350 treatment was not significantly different."
