Abstract/Contents:"This trial was conducted on a fairway at Cambell's Scottish Highland Golf Course, Salem, NH. Mowing ht was 0.875 inch. All treatments were applied on 12 May to 49-ft² plots, replicated five times, in a RCB design. Treatments were applied using a 7-ft boom on a 2-wheel, bicycle-type CO₂ sprayer. Treatments were timed to initial adult emergence. The boom was equipped with four 8005 fan-type nozzles, fitted with 50-mesh screens. The water and insecticide mix was delivered 2 gal/1000 ft² at 40 psi. All treatments were irrigated with 0.1 inch of water within four h of application. Weather conditions at time of application were as follows: sky, clear; wind, moderate breeze; air temp, 64°F. Soil conditions were as follows: surface temp, 72.5°F; at 1-inch depth, 67.8°F; at 2-inch depth, 64.4°F; texture, sandy loam; sand, 71%; silt, 21%; clay, 8%; thatch, 1/8-inch, pH, 7.3; organic matter, 6.2%; moisture, 15.4%. the trial was rated on 15 Jul; 1 ft² per plot was sampled for live BTA larvae. All treatments performed well. No phytotoxicity was observed."
