Abstract/Contents: | Describes the low maintenance requirements of palm trees. Discusses cold damage to palms, stating that "palms severely damaged during the winter should be watched carefully during the spring and summer. Damage to embryonic leaves within the bud may not show up until those leaves emerge, as much as six months to a year after the freeze." Also discusses pruning, installation of palms, common pests, and landscaping using palms. |
