Abstract/Contents:Profiles hygrophila, a "weed that chokes water-control channels and exacerbates flooding, elbows out native plants and even fish, sucks up oxygen and frustrate golf-course and landscape managers...while proving resistant to herbicides." States that "possible solutions may be in biological controls. For example, grass carp are introduced to the canals and other waterways to eat hydrilla. Yet these fish are hardly hungry for hygrophila."
