Abstract/Contents:Describes an experiment designed to "monitor the mobility of the major agrichemcial used during grow-in, N, during the establishment/maturation phase of newly sprigged bermudagrass greens, and to illustrate the usefulness of these monitoring systems for assessing agrichemical and water management of golf course putting greens." Results indicate that "relatively high concentrations of nitrate-N [was] found in the percolate from each green early on during the study when soluble N was applied to immature bermudagrass." Also notes that the experiment successfully demonstrated the usefulness of monitoring systems.
