Abstract/Contents: | "Five experimental and three commercially available chemical growth regulators varied in growth suppression and phytotoxicity when applied to tall fescue. Three experimentals (CGA-24705, MBR-12325, and Ro7-6145) retarded growth comparable to Maintain 3 (maleic hydrazide) and CF-125 (chlorflurenol). MBR-12325 caused the greatest growth suppression. All materials caused objectionable discoloration when applied at rates that caused retardation, but induced an increase in green color as plants recovered from the chemical stress." |
