| Abstract/Contents: | "Bibliometric analysis, the statistical description of a literature, can provide insights into both the scope and workings of a discipline. As a tool, it offers a perspective on research reporting structures, insularity, speed of reporting and citation, impact factors of journals and authors, and literature half-life. Results of this examination, the descriptive portion of a two-part project, will form the foundation to ultimately help evaluate whether turfgrass science has achieved a mature, unique, and scholarly knowledge base." |
