| Abstract/Contents: | Differentiates fungicides between contacts, penetrants, and systemics. Discusses fosetyl aluminum, sterol inhibitors, acropetal penetrants, localized penetrants, mesostemics, contact fungicides, non-site specific fungicides, and single-site specific fungicides. States that "continuous use of fungicides with the same mode of action can selectively remove susceptible biotypes, which allows the resistant biotypes to proliferate and eventually dominate a turf." Also states that "nearly all documented resistance problems are associated with penetrants and extremely few have been related to the use of contact fungicides." |
