Abstract/Contents: | Discusses hydraulic seeding in the springtime, stating that "recognizing hazards to spring seeding is important whether you perform the work yourself or subcontract it to a specialist. While the size of the threat varies with soil type, local topography and the average amount of rainfall in the spring, the message is the same -- don't cut corners with hydraulic seeding in the spring." Also discusses the importance of quality mulches, the use of tackifiers, and the tighter supply of seed. |
