Abstract/Contents: | Discusses subsurface drip irrigation, stating that "irrigation below ground eliminates wind effects that distort sprinkler patterns and encourage spray drift, while reducing opportunities for vandals, discoloration, damage to bordering structures and fungal disease." Also discusses the results of a study at the Center for Irrigation Technology at California State University, Fresno, on the effectiveness of subsurface drip irrigation, stating that "good drip-irrigation management is essential.
