Abstract/Contents: | Describes the process of fertigation. Discusses the advantages of fertigation, including improved root structure, less water usage, more resistance to diseases and insects, and savings in terms of water use, mowing/labor, fertilizer and pesticides. Also discusses the future of fertigation, stating that "more liquid-nutrient products are becoming available, which makes fertigation affordable and practical. Injectors are less costly, and qualified technical support is available across the country. Fertigation offers the turf manager a reliable alternative to dry fertilizer and excessive mowing." |
