Abstract/Contents:"A standard on resistance risk analysis has recently been approved by the 43 countries of the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization and is recommended for use in the evaluation and registration of plant protection products. The standard was developed by a Panel of experts composed partly of representatives of the registration authorities of member countries and partly of experts from the crop protection industry, in particular from the Resistance Action Committees. The standard explains the respective roles of the applicant for registration and the national authority in preparing and evaluating a risk assessment and, if necessary, a resistance management strategy."
