Abstract/Contents:Presents a study to "determine the effects of both pre-emergent and broadleaf applied herbicides on an established stand of Supina bluegrass." Experimental stand was rated for color, quality, and phytotoxicity. Results include that "Supina bluegrass withstood the effects of broadleaf herbicides very well during the trial. Turfgrass color did not show a significant response to the effects of the herbicides. In addition, overall turfgrass quality did not readily decrease or increase over the duration of the study. Supina bluegrass also held up very nicely in regards to phytotoxicity. The only treatment that slightly burned the turf was MCPP and this was very minimal at best." Cautions that "final conclusions will not be complete until the two-year study is completed."
