Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study to "compare the preemergence activity of different Dimension formulations and their effect on turf quality." Number of crabgrass plants per plot, percent crabgrass cover, percent other weed cover, and turf quality were evaluated. Results include that "broadleaf weeds which predominated were dock and white clover with smaller amounts of a wide variety of broadleaf plants. The distribution of all broadleaf weeds appeared to be uniform" and "all treatments controlled crabgrass equally well." Cautions that "the EC treatment was accidentally applied at 8x the normal rate. At this rate the compound did cause phytoxicity to the Kentucky bluegrass." |
