Abstract/Contents: | Answers the question "why has there been a major increase in moss and algae problems on putting greens in the last five to ten years?" Explains that the most obvious reason is the trend to significantly lower cutting heights. Also suggests that topdressing practices can negate the drainage properties of even high-sand root zones, leading to excess surface water. |
