| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the reproductive strategies of annual bluegrass that cause it to be such a difficult weed to eradicate, stating that "it is one of the few species that can produce viable seed one day after pollination has occurred." Describes management of Poa annua, stating "the first step in a management program is to determine the amount of annual bluegrass present in your turf in the greens, tees, and fairways" and that "preemergence herbicides can be a useful tool in an overall management strategy, but an effective postemergence herbicide is a must to manage annual bluegrass." |
