| Abstract/Contents: | Presents a study with the objective to "compare the effects of application of Imidochloprid (Merit 75 WP) at two different rates, two DiTera formulations at 100 lbs/acre, Nature Safe, and Antinematode FM as postplant treatments for phytoparasitic nematode suppression in an experimental Tifgreen bermudagrass fairway with an untreated control and Nemacur 3 EC as the labeled rate." It also evaluates "Merit 75 WP in a dose response test with inoculated cultures of the sting nematode, Belonolaimus longicaudatus in pots of FX-313 St. Augustinegrass." Concludes that "this year's results with Merit 75 WP in the field and in the greenhouse and the field studies with DiTera, Nature Safe, and Antinematode FM did not support the hypothesis that these compounds were suppressive to sting nematode in turf." |
