Abstract/Contents: | Describes chemical and nutrient properties of fertilizers used in Florida's unique soil. Briefly summarizes the properties and uses of soluble nitrogen sources including ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate urea and potassium nitrate. Also characterizes the phosphorus soluble fertilizer sources, which include concentrated superphosphate, monoammonium phosphate and diammonium phosphate and polyphosphoric acid solutions; and potassium soluble fertilizers potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, potassium-magnesium sulfate and potassium nitrate. Overviews the effects of controlled or slow-released fertilizer sources including ureaformaldehyde reaction products, isobutylidene diurea, sulfur-coated fertilizers, and polymer-coated fertilizers. |
