Abstract/Contents:Discusses golf course design, stating that "the sure way to get a bad design is to lay out a golf course and fit house-lots around it, or to lay out a land subdivision and call the left-over area golf course. The only way to get the best design is one which calls for patience, namely,...to hold all the elements in suspension until their mutual reactions are determined, then to have them settled, the most weighty elements first." Focuses on the clubhouse, roads, and the layout of the golf course.
