Abstract/Contents: | Discusses strategies for establishing successful weed management programs; states that this can be achieved through four steps: understanding weeds, understanding the available weed management options, site preparation, and implementing a combination of effective methods to prevent and control weeds. States that weed management techniques should be implemented before planting, and that mulch is an effective weed suppressant. Suggests fumigating areas heavily infested by weeds and using preemergence herbicides before weeds appear. |
