Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the proper time to apply pre-emergent crabgrass herbicides. Emphasizes the importance of soil and air temperature in crabgrass germination, and in turn pre-emergent applications. Stresses "many applicators figure on a sort of 'Price is Right' method of timing applications - the goal is to get closest (to crabgrass germination) without going over". Recommends that "if in doubt, apply a little early". |
