| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the installation of a turf irrigation system. Focuses on how to avoid problems including knowing the site, selecting installation equipment, using the most reliable technique, inspecting the installation works, checking that the materials are to specification, protecting health and safety, locating underground services and equipment, training staff, and providing operation and maintenance manuals. Concludes that "co-ordination and inspection of the works is essential to ensure that the system is installed in accordance with all the specifications and contract documents that have been produced in order to provide the Club's requirements. It is of great benefit to the club to employ the most experienced personnel to ensure these objectives are achieved." |
