| Abstract/Contents: | Addresses the use of fungicides to control turfgrass disease in the United States, drawing on "questionnaires [sent] to turfgrass pathologists in the United States and Canada requesting information on the effectiveness of fungicides." Discusses the history of fungicides, the ten most important turfgrass diseases, and the most effective fungicides for controlling these diseases. Reports that "mercury compounds were effective against more major pathogens than were other types of compounds in the overall average ratings. However, certain other fungicides were as effective or sometimes more effective against specific pathogens." |
