| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses grasses that are under consideration for assessment to be developed and will be able to survive with less water while retaining their resiliency. Cool season grasses include creeping bentgrass (Agrostis), alkaligrasses, (Puccinellia), wheatgrass (Agropyron), and the fescues (Festuca). Warm season grasses under grasses under consideration include zoysiagrass (Zoysia), buffalograss (Buchloe dactyloides (Nutt.) Engelm.), bermudagrass (Cynodon), St. Augustinegrass (Stenotaphrum secundatum (Walt.) Kuntze), saltgrass (Distichlis) and (Paspalum vaginatum Swartz.). Results from the current study showed limited success, better results are expected which would help locate fresh water use to other areas. |
