Abstract/Contents:Describes how the application of ammonium sulfate, ferrous sulfate, and sand called 'Green Sand' at a rate of 10 lb/1000 ft2 helped deteriorate silvery thread moss from greens. Raising the mowing edge and verticutting reduced the strength of the moss but did not eliminate it. Discusses the process and methods used to eliminate moss.
