Abstract/Contents:Explores "the influence of seeding rate and Kentucky bluegrass blend composition on the competitiveness of newer, turf-type tall fescue in mixture with Kentucky bluegrass." Comments on the importance of mixing species in order to increase stress resistance of the turf. States that "both seeding rate and Kentucky bluegrass blend affected mixture composition, the extent being influenced by irrigation management. Tall fescue was competitive in mixture with Kentucky bluegrass three years after seeding at all seeding rates and in all combinations with Kentucky bluegrass blends."
